High enough to run into a 22.5 degree roof that is sloping away from the hive, but low enough to still run into a lot of things you may build. They point upward at an angle that is greater than 22.5 degrees, but less than 45. The rays that point into the sky at an angle are somewhat annoying. Regardless, I would not bee surprised if all 17 rays are 30m. At that point, whether it's 15m or 30m I don't know that it makes a difference. Due to structural limitations I only tested the upward pointing rays to about 15m. Toggle on 'tools' in the Steam library search and look for 'Valheim,' you. Within the game engine there are 17 'rays' (8 + 8 + 1) that extend outward from the hive. 8 of these lay flat so raising hives off of the ground is very effective to get them to not collide with the ground thus reducing the total count. 9 of these point up so roofs are very bad. TL:DR The game checks if 17 rays are intersected, if more than 10 of these long rays are blocked then bees are no longer happy. And I feel, that if IG implemented all that, the game would offer no challenge, and you would not feel like a conqueror overcoming the world of Valheim. In my opinion, the biggest adversary in Valheim is the world it self - the mist, the rain, the cold, the dark, the distances, the management of resources, inventory and hunger.Įvery now and then someone suggests making the wisps light radius bigger or making a cloak that protects from the rain or allowing teleportation of metals or making bigger inventories. I will say my opinion now: I don't want an easy game - and I'm not talking about combat difficulty. A lot of players agree with these opinions, but I know that there are a lot of players, who love the game as it is and therefore don't voice their opinions that often. Almost every post I see in this community is a suggestion to make the game easier. ![]()
